Large quantities of waste electrical wires and cables are due to be decommissioned and require recycling. This necessitates the use of copper wire separator machines. In line with environmental protection requirements and to support the nation’s green development, green production and automated operations, the eco-friendly mixed-wire copper sorting machine is equipped with an advanced dust extraction system. It effectively processes waste electrical wires and cables in an environmentally sound manner. It delivers excellent recycling results and boasts high production capacity. The machine is capable of shredding and recycling various types of cables and wires, enabling the dry separation and recovery of metals and plastics from scrap wiring. The complete system offers numerous advantages, including high production capacity, energy efficiency, low power consumption, high sorting efficiency, single-batch feeding, time and labour savings, and user-friendly operation. Following processing by the copper wire separator machine, the copper content in the scrap cables can reach over 30 per cent.
This equipment can process various types of scrap electrical wires, scrap telecommunications cables, headphone cables, charging cables, power cables, and scrap wires ranging from 5 to 20 mm in diameter.

The working principle of the copper wire separator machine involves feeding scrap wires and cables into a crusher for an initial crushing process, reducing the material to a size of approximately 3 cm. An magnetic separator is then used to extract ferrous metals separately. The remaining material undergoes a second crushing stage in a pulveriser, reducing it to a powder or granular form. Following crushing, an air classifier is used to separate the copper from the plastic. Any plastic and copper that have not been separated are subjected to a secondary sorting process using an electrostatic separator. Dust generated during the sorting process is adsorbed and purified by a pulse dust collector, ensuring there is no secondary pollution. The dry-type copper wire sorting machine feeds scrap cables into the equipment either manually or via a belt conveyor. The entire system operates automatically. Copper is separated through crushing, dust removal and density sorting.
