What are the precautions for using a cable wire recycling machine?

2026-06-30
Currently, a vast quantity of waste cables, wires and miscellaneous wiring worldwide is reaching the end of its useful life. Cable recycling machines play a vital role in the field of resource recovery. Many customers ask: what precautions should be taken when operating a cable wire recycling machine? What should be borne in mind during daily operations?

Precautions for the operation of cable wire recycling machines:

  1. During production, materials should be sorted in advance before shredding. Copper and aluminium wires must not be processed together.
  2. If there is a significant variation in wire diameter within a single batch, mixing thick and thin wires will affect the sorting efficiency. Materials should be roughly sorted in advance according to the diameter of the wires and cables.
  3. This equipment is intended solely for shredding copper and aluminium wires. It must not be used to shred any other materials.
  4. After switching on the power, open the machine housing first. Carefully check that the motor’s direction of rotation matches the direction indicated on the label. If the rotation is incorrect, switch off the power immediately and adjust the wiring sequence.
  5. Once the equipment has started, it should run under no-load conditions for 20–30 minutes. Carefully observe the operating status of each component. Check the feed conveyor belt for any misalignment. If any slippage occurs, adjust it immediately. Only proceed with uniform feeding once the equipment is operating without any abnormalities.
What are the precautions for using a cable wire recycling machine?

Adherence to standard operating procedures by the operator will minimise wear and tear during use. This promotes the efficient operation of the cable wire recycling machine and extends the service life of the equipment.
