The radiator recycling machine is a specialised piece of equipment designed to recover precious metals from scrap air-conditioning radiators and other similar components. These radiators are typically constructed from copper tubing and aluminium foil that are tightly bonded together, enabling highly efficient heat transfer. The machine is capable of cutting radiators of varying thicknesses and cleanly and efficiently separating the copper and aluminium. The result is pure metal that can be sold directly or remelted for reuse.
This machine is capable of completely separating the copper tubes and aluminium foil from the interior of end-of-life copper and aluminium air-conditioning heat exchangers. With a simple adjustment, the same machine can be configured to separate both single-layer and double-layer copper tubes. It offers high efficiency, fast separation speeds and ease of operation when separating copper tubes from aluminium foil. In terms of safety, a photoelectric sensor is fitted at the machine’s feed inlet. Should an operator’s hand extend beyond the set position during operation, the machine will automatically stop.
The radiator recycling machine has a wide range of applications: it can process scrap air-conditioning radiators, substandard radiators produced by manufacturers, and the separation of copper tubing and aluminium foil from end-of-life vehicle radiators. A single machine can handle multiple types of radiators, such as copper-aluminium radiators with three different copper tube spacings: single-layer and double-layer (19 mm, 21 mm and 25 mm).
Technological Process
Provided the radiators are relatively flat and free from bending or damage, they can be separated using a radiator recycling machine. This machine can completely strip the copper tubes from the interior of end-of-life copper-aluminium air-conditioning radiators. The aluminium foil remains intact, and the separation process is fast and highly efficient. The machine can be selected for use according to specific circumstances.
The working principle of the radiator recycling machine is as follows:
Loading the radiator: Used or damaged radiators are fed into the inlet. Most machines can process radiators of 2–3 different thicknesses.
Adjusting the blade settings: The operator must adjust the cutting rollers to match the dimensions of the radiator. The dimensions for single-layer and double-layer radiators range from 19 to 25 mm.
Rapid separation: The machine effectively separates the copper and aluminium layers by cutting through the joints without damaging the metal.
Output separation: The copper and aluminium are separated and discharged through different outlets for collection and recycling.
