Product Details

Metal shredder machine rely on the shear forces generated between the blades to tear and shred the material. When the material enters the shredder’s crushing chamber, it is subjected to the shear action created between the high-speed rotating blades and the stationary blades. The aim is to reduce the size of materials through shearing, tearing and crushing.  There is a custom-made screen at the bottom of the shredder. The shredded material is discharged through the screen according to its size. Material that does not meet the requirements is shredded further until it meets the discharge size specifications. Drawing on many years of manufacturing and practical experience, and adapting our designs to suit specific circumstances, we have launched a more technically advanced range of metal shredders. These provide high-quality solutions for crushing and volume reduction in waste recycling.

Metal Shredder Machine

Metal shredder machine are primarily used to process scrap metal, paint tins, colour-coated steel roofing sheets, car bodies, scrap aluminium, waste electrical and electronic equipment, and aluminium cans. They are suitable for use in the metal recycling, waste recycling and steel smelting industries,

Small pieces of metal produced by a metal shredder.

Technological Process

Scrap metal enters the shredding chamber via a conveyor system. The chamber is fitted with shredding blades. The material undergoes a combination of tearing, compression and shearing actions as it passes through the shredding blades. It is shredded into small pieces. Material that meets the required output size is discharged through the screen at the bottom. Material that does not meet the requirements is shredded again until it reaches the required processing size.

Structure of a Metal Shredder

  • Cutting blades: These comprise fixed and moving blades. These blades form the core component of the shredder.
  • Motor and gearbox: These provide the necessary power for the shredder.
  • Feed inlet: Material enters the shredding chamber through this opening.
  • Screen: This controls the final size of the shredded material.
  • Frame: This supports the entire unit, ensuring its stability.
  • Discharge system: This is used to convey the shredded material.

The blade thicknesses are available in 15 mm, 20 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, 85 mm and 100 mm, whilst the number of teeth ranges from single, double, triple to multiple. The blade can be selected according to the desired particle size of the crushed material.

Advantageous

  • All cutting tools are cast from alloy steel. The blades are robust and have a long service life. The heavy-duty cutting blades ensure high crushing efficiency.
  • The entire frame is constructed from thick sheet metal, making it capable of withstanding high torque and ensuring exceptional robustness.
  • Automated control is employed. The system features start, stop, reverse and automatic overload reverse control functions.
  • The thickness of the cutting blades and the number of blade clamps can be adjusted to suit different materials.
  • The shredder is capable of processing large-sized materials, such as sheet metal, tyres, scrap copper, plastic drums and pipes. The outer frame features a precision-machined, composite structure made from extra-thick sheet metal. It is fitted with a powerful rotating shaft featuring large-angle hexagonal columns.
