This equipment is suitable for use in recycling centres, plastic recycling production lines and the pre-treatment stages of industrial solid waste processing. It can shred bulky or tangled plastic materials into irregular chunks, thereby providing suitable feed conditions for subsequent washing, sorting or pelletising processes.

Technological Process

The plastic crusher machine comprises a base, a crushing chamber, a feed hopper, a drive mechanism, rotating blades, fixed blades and a cleaning auger. The cutting mechanism consists of rotating blades and fixed blades. The rotating blades are driven by a motor. The waste plastic to be shredded is fed from the feed hopper into the crushing chamber. The material is shredded by the high-speed rotating cutting blades. It then passes through a perforated screen and exits the machine. The plastic shredder primarily consists of a horizontal rotor with a series of blades and a cylindrical housing fitted with two fixed blades. A feed hopper is positioned axially along the housing. The rotor rotates at a very high speed. The incoming material is shredded into fragments at the gap between the fixed blades and the rotor blades. The fragments exit from the bottom of the housing. The crushed plastic is passed through a sieve to sort the plastic granules by size before being discharged.

The blade thicknesses are available in 15 mm, 20 mm, 30 mm, 40 mm, 50 mm, 85 mm and 100 mm, whilst the number of teeth ranges from single, double, triple to multiple. The blade can be selected according to the desired particle size of the crushed material.
